CANBERRA Benelux is located in the center of Europe and is home to the European Support Group. In addition to the technical and commercial support, this office has extensive experience in project management, training and service. Also, a number of our software/system engineers are working on developing new turnkey and measuring techniques.
Projects and Installations
Primary Coolant Monitor (PCM)
PCM is an Automatic Gamma Spectroscopy System for Nuclear Power Plants with the following main functions:- monitoring the chemical balance of the reactor coolant to maintain levels which minimize corrosion
- analyzing liquid and gaseous samples taken at different locations throughout the power plant
- assessing the level of core damage after an accident
CUSAM: Nuclide Specific Environmental Monitor
SMS: Spectroscopy System for the metal industry

- WinAxil : X-ray spectroscopy software
- PAMS : on-line trending of spectroscopy parameters (Genie based)
- Chromatogram 2000 : special software for paper chromatogram scanning (Genie based)
- CAMtools : software tool to analyze multiple stored CAM files
Unattended Plutonium Safeguards Systems,
Euratom
A system for Non-Destructive Assay (NDA) has
been developed for continuous and automatic
monitoring of activities and movements of nuclear
material on the sites. It combines passive neutron
measurement for qualitative analysis, with gamma
ray measurement using MGA for increased accuracy.
The Ethernet network allows decentralization
of the computer (a DEC VAX) for analysis, storage
and consulting the data.
