The 903 Pad and Americium Zone contained the largest source of soil contamination at Rocky Flats,due to leakage of Pu and Am from stored drums.
This Technical Paper describes the strategy employed by CANBERRA to provide direct measurement of 78% of the total surface area of the study area, which consisted of 33 acres of rocky, uneven terrain.
