ProLine gets you Counting Sooner
The alpha spectroscopy lab has two needs that transcend all others: accurate sample measurements and documented measurement quality. We incorporated these requirements into every aspect of the design of the Alpha Analyst.
Remember the last time you brought new instrumentation into your lab? How long did it really take before you could actually get some useful work done with it? How much of your time was taken up learning how to set up, calibrate, operate and interpret the data from the device and then write the operating procedures?
When your Alpha Analyst is purchased with Canberra's exclusive ProLine Suite of installation and start-up services, you'll be in control of every sophisticated feature and counting samples in your Alpha Analyst, in record time.

ProLine Installation
Out of the box and on to your lab bench, our customer service personnel will install your Alpha Analyst. Every ProLine instrument is fully integrated and tested at the factory, so you won't see a collection of modules and plumbing to assemble on-site. Three connections are all it takes to have your Alpha Analyst hardware ready for action: 1) attach the single vacuum line, 2) connect to the host computer, 3) plug it in and power up. That's it! Once the Alpha Analyst software package is loaded onto your PC, you're ready to see how easy it is to calibrate and configure your Alpha Analyst to count and analyze your samples the way you need them to be done.
ProLine Calibration and Configuration
You won't have to read through a mountain of manuals just to get started. We will lead you through the operator interface and perform an expert instrument configuration based on your instrument and your specific needs for data acquisition, analysis and results reporting. We'll do all the work of calibrating each spectrometer chamber to a single geometry with the highest quality mixed alpha standard. We'll run the initial backgrounds and establish the Quality Assurance database. When we finish, you will have a full set of counting protocols, complete acquisition-through-reporting protocols, specific to the samples that you need to count in your Alpha Analyst.
ProLine Operation Training
Once your Alpha Analyst is ready, we'll help you get started counting samples. We will lead you through all your routine operations, sample counting, QA, and background checks calibration. When this basic training is complete, your operators will be equipped to run all the routine Alpha Analyst operations.
More comprehensive training is available on all aspects of the Alpha Counting application. Canberra offers extensive training courses on sample preparation, sampling methods for environmental and health physics operation and instrument maintenance.
Operating Procedures
We know that writing operating procedures can be the most tedious aspect of bringing a new instrument into your laboratory. As part of the ProLine Suite of services, we'll help you get those procedures written so you can get on with your work. Canberra will provide you with both printed and electronic versions of a model operating procedure, tailored to your specific Alpha Analyst.
