Software that simplifies your laboratory operation

Genie-PC was the first and is still the only spectroscopy platform capable of true multi-tasking in a PC environment supporting a network architecture that can link together multiple instrument inputs and operators. Genie-PC is the ideal platform for either the inexperienced or seasoned spectroscopist.
Sample lists are prepared using the Batch Information file editor to
associate each sample with the appropriate counting protocol.
Alpha Analyst
Alpha Analyst is built upon Canberra's Genie-PC spectroscopy platform. The versatile operator interface offers unique features to simplify setup and calibration of the instrument, ease sample processing, improve alpha spectrum analysis and enhance quality assurance.
From a single screen, the status of every sample moving through the instrument can be determined at a glance and detailed information on monitored parameters in every spectrometer can be displayed.
Whether you type in sample IDs or scan them in with the optional bar code scanner, you can build sample lists quickly and accurately with the Batch Information File editor. Routine pulser checks, background checks, even the acquisition of spectra from calibration standards can be handled in a sample list. Once a sample is associated with a predefined counting protocol, it's ready to be counted
When you are ready to count your samples, the Alpha Analyst points you toward the available chambers. You don't have to worry about complicated valve operations. The vacuum management system in the Alpha Analyst monitors the pressure in every spectrometer and automatically orchestrates all the valve functions, in the appropriate sequence, so you don't have to.
Once the data is acquired, your samples are analyzed with the most sophisticated algorithms available for analyzing alpha spectra. Reports are generated and information is transferred to the QA database, automatically, so the entire process is smooth and seamless.
The result is consistently high performance, alpha spectroscopy on environmental or bioassay samples in a production or research laboratory.

Operations become routine in an intuitive user interface.
Quality by design...from our factory to your laboratory
True quality is more than just a slogan. Quality is an attitude and a commitment backed up with continuous action. When you purchase an instrument from Canberra, you can be assured it has been designed and manufactured to the highest standards. All Alpha Analyst subsystems are manufactured to exacting standards for reliability and consistent high-level performance.
Canberra's manufacturing facility was the first in the industry to meet requirements for certification under ISO 9001. In addition, Alpha Analyst conforms to relevant FCC and IEC1010 requirements. Because the market for our products and services is international in scope, every Alpha Analyst proudly carries the CE mark.
In every way, quality is a most important part of our corporate culture.
