Our
international sales and support organization is known for the caliber
of its people and its high standards for service. We maintain a team
of factory-trained field engineers and service offices strategically
located throughout the world so we're there when you need us.
We offer a wide selection of service programs to meet your needs, ranging from on-site instrument maintenance agreements and return-to-factory service options to replacement modules for the do-it-yourself user. Installation and instructional services are available for Canberra's Gamma Analyst customers.
We take care of your training needs as well, with basic and advanced gamma spectroscopy courses at our modern training facilities in Meriden, Connecticut, or on-site at your location. Our spectroscopy professionals conduct specialized courses and provide consulting services to meet your special needs and help you get the job done.
Quality From Day One
Quality
starts from the moment a product idea is conceived. From the marketing
personnel, who research your operation and requirements, to the engineering
teams that design the products, quality is the focus of their thoughts
and actions. That's why Canberra chose to pursue the rigorous ISO 9001
quality certification, which incorporates both design and manufacturing
(rather than ISO 9002 which doesn't incorporate design). Particularly
where software is a key part of the product, design is the more critical
aspect of ensuring that you, the customer, receives a quality product.
Our whole production facility is organized around quality. We have eschewed the traditional production line organization for the concept of the "focused factory". The focused factory is made up of smaller "cells" within the factory, where teams of people take full responsibility for product lines and their quality. In the rare instance where a product fails under warranty, it doesn't go to a repair shop within the service department, it goes back to the cell where they not only assess what happened but why it happened. This focus helps us root out problems, no matter how small, at the source.
Quality
at Canberra also means empowerment. Note the banner over our factory
floor "If you're not proud of it... don't ship it". This is
more than a slogan, its a challenge to all employees to champion quality
in all the products that go out the door. Everyone in the production
cycle, from receiving through shipping - plus marketing and engineering
- is empowered to stop production on any product at any time for a perceived
quality problem.
If they don't feel quality is served by the response to the problem, there is a defined appeal channel that ends with the President of the Nuclear Products Group. Employees are encouraged to challenge the system and continuously improve all of our processes.
You will also see our quality in your day-to-day contacts with Canberra field personnel. In sheer numbers - and capability - Canberra's army of field sales, service, training and application engineers exceed those of our competitors by several fold. Field personnel are trained to be responsive to your needs and maximize your productivity with our products.
