Description
The high efficiency IN 114 Frisch grid chamber is composed of a grid ionization
chamber, acquisition and control electronics and front panel including keyboard
and display units.
Fast processing and measurement of samples can be performed routinely or when
a nuclear incident occurs.
Moreover, the IN 614 is the only available automatic sample changer system for
alpha spectroscopy (6 samples).
The vacuum pump device is external.
The sample to be measured is located on the cathode sample holder, inside the
detector. Direct precipitate samples can be used.
The compressed air cylinder inserts the sample while closing the measurement
chamber; gas feed circuit is switched by five solenoid valves, and the cylinder
circuitry by two others.
The assembly is designed so as not to disturb neighbouring equipments.
The front panel countains:
- A flowmeter
- Six control buttons (eight in IN 614 version)
- A block diagram of the equipment with indicator lights for displaying the
system status (HV power supply, solenoid valves, etc...) and six digit display
indicating the chamber pressure or the error codes.
The solenoid valves, the vacuum pump, the HV power supply, the keyboard, the
displays and the four remote control signals are controlled by microprocessor.
The analog electronics include low noise preamplifier, spectroscopy amplifier
and high voltage bias.
