Introduction

WinAxil software package is an extensive set of software modules for energy dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (ED-XRF) analysis. It provides both, qualitative and quantitative XRF analysis.

Several programs form WinAxil package:

• WinAxil : main software program for X-ray fluorescence spectrum deconvolution.
• WinFund : XRF Quantitative analysis based on “Fundamental Parameter” approach.
• WaxLibManager : Database management
• WinAxilBatch : X-ray spectrum deconvolution for large amount of files in Batch mode.

WinAxil is based on the internationally well-known Axil (Analysis of X-ray spectra by Iterative Least Squares) fitting routines, developed by Prof. Van Espen (Micro and Trace Analysis Center, University of Antwerp, Belgium). They are the solid basements of the WinAxil package.

WinAxil is a result of a collaboration and co-development between MiTAC ( University of Antwerp) and Canberra Eurisys Benelux.
