Features
Performs radioactive survey and mapping for large area
- Communicates with a generic NMEA0183-compliant GPS receiver
- Automatically stores energy spectrum (in CAM formatted files) with current GPS
coordinates
- Real-time visualization of the trajectories with notification of the counting alarm/warning readings
- Total counts per second (CPS) monitoring. Built in two modes of monitoring: total CPS or differential with
respect to previously averaged
CPS readings
- Up to six regions of interest (ROI) in the PHA spectrum can be individually monitored. Each ROI can be set with its specific alarm value and data plot
- Practical and user customizable
graphical user interface (GUI) featuring dedicated view panels for GPS information, map location, ROI monitoring and spectrum view
- The software is fully customized
via its setup files and a comprehensive built-in setup editor
- Provision of the iRSS Viewer software for off-line analysis and visualization of data
Description
Applications in the fields of radiological control, homeland security, radioactive
decontamination, geological surveys, construction parcel categorization, etc; require sophisticated measurement systems for large area survey of radioactive levels classification or contamination survey.
The intelligent Radiation Search Software (iRSS) is the heart of a large-area radioactive survey system.
The software provides an unattended set of measurements and continuous total count monitoring; controls any CANBERRA data acquisition hardware (detector) and communicates with a generic Global Position System (GPS) receiver. The resulting energy-distributed spectra with GPS information are saved into CAM files without the need of user intervention.
