Prerequisites: The SU-470 Genie 2000 spectroscopy application software.

Purpose: This course is designed to be the basic system setup and operation training for the Apex Alpha Operations count room software product.

Description: This course focuses on the Apex "Lab Productivity Suite" software setup, database interaction and automated sample processing operations. The class is intended for count room managers and technicians responsible for setup, processing, reporting and data review of alpha samples. The training will cover the architecture of the Apex Alpha Operations environment, interactions with Apex Software and Genie 2000 utilities and facility database software, installation, operational setups, security, sample counting job streams, reports, QA, data review, and event logging. Discussions will also include Batch QA samples analyzed with a batch of unknown samples.
