Aptec-NRC's Emergency Response Kits are designed around the ADM-300 series of portable multifunctional survey instruments and may be customized to meet specific requirements using various options and accessories. ADM-300's are rugged and reliable and designed for use in harsh environments. With built-in GM detectors, a standard ADM-300 will detect measure, and digitally display both dose and dose rate levels of gamma radiation from 10 µR/hr to 10,000 R/hr (0.1 µSv/hr to 100 Sv/hr) and beta radiation from 10 µR/hr to 5 R/hr (0.1 µSv/hr to 0.05 Sv/hr). Specific kits are available that include selected accessories and "smart" detectors that are used to measure, store, and display alpha, beta, gamma, neutron, and/or X-ray radiation. "Smart" detectors store probe ID, calibration data, and have internal high voltage power supplies for "on-the-go" substitution.
