These instant laboratories are ready to use where you need them. Our experience includes vans, trucks, trailers and ISO international standard modules in a variety of semi-permanent and mobile configurations.

Turnkey Solutions

CANBERRA supplies turnkey transportable laboratory solutions, which include laboratory design, equipment selection, installation, calibration and training. We completely design most of the laboratories we provide from the generators, water storage and HVAC systems to the counting instrumentation. You benefit from our worldwide leadership in manufacturing radiation detection systems and years of experience providing solutions to practical applications.

Successfully outfitting a transportable laboratory with sophisticated counting equipment originally designed for a benign fixed environment is not a simple matter. CANBERRA has built more than 60 transportable laboratories for a variety of analytical applications worldwide. This is extremely valuable experience for future designs. We understand the importance of reliability and build our transportable laboratories for long term use whether the unit will be semi-permanently installed or used at temporary locations with no available power and water supplies. In the latter case we can include generators and clean and waste water storage to allow the lab to be completely self-supporting.

We manufacture a complete range of radioanalytical instruments and therefore understand the special measures that must be taken to ensure that our equipment performs reliably under the rough conditions encountered in transportable laboratories. For example, we enhance our electronics and counting equipment with stronger construction and shock mounts to withstand the hardships of the mobile environment. In short, our mobile laboratories include an environment that is suitable for the application, the equipment inside, and the personnel that will be operating them.
