Prerequisites: SP-502-4 or equivalent experience.

Description:
A review of spectral features and the identification of these features in real spectra.

Course Content:

  • Full Energy Peak
  • Single Escape Peak
  • Double Escape Peak
  • Annihilation Peak(s)
  • X-Ray Peaks
  • Sum Peaks
  • Backscatter Peak
  • Germanium Escape Peak

The ability to recognize the various features that may occur in a gamma spectrum are then used to interpret "problem" spectra.
