SU-425-4 AbacosPLUS Body Burden System Operation
|
|
Prerequisites: This training course is intended for students who have some prior knowledge of basic gamma spectroscopy principles, and (preferably) some familiarity with the basic operations of Canberra’s Genie-VMS software.
Purpose: The purpose of this course is to introduce all essential features of Canberra’s AbacosPLUS software, as applied to typical in vivo counting measurements. Students will also be introduced to additional Genie-VMS software features and specialized hardware components that are typically integrated with the AbacosPLUS software.
Description:
This course is normally presented during a period of four (4) consecutive days, totaling approximately
30 hours of instruction time. (This course can be adapted for shorter presentation times, if prior arrangements
are made with the Canberra Training Department.) When this course is presented at a customer site,
students should have access to one or more integrated and calibrated AbacosPLUS in vivo counting
systems, and the course content will emphasize the specific type of system(s) used at that site. When
presented at Canberra’s Meriden, CT training facility, students will have access to computers and gamma
detection hardware that can be used to simulate a generic Abacos Plus counting system.
