SU-468-5 Alpha Analyst Spectroscopy System Setup and Operation
Prerequisites: None.
Purpose: The five day course provides the user and system manager with a complete operational understanding of the hardware and software used with the Alpha Analyst Systems. The two day course provides the user with a complete operational understanding of the routine operations used with the Alpha Analyst Systems.
Five Day Course Description:
This course is designed as an introductory level course for both the system manager and operator who will
be using the Alpha Analyst System.
The course starts with a short review of the operating system platform used and what interactions the Genie 2000 packages have with the Alpha Analyst Application package. It then covers installations setups, calibrations, batch files, protocols, data acquisitions, analysis phases and report generations - all performed from within the Alpha Analyst menu structure.
Concepts are taught using a lecture and extensive hands-on laboratory sessions.

Two Day Course Description:
This course is designed as an introductory level course for the operator
who will be using the Alpha Analyst System on a daily basis.
This two day course is intended to familiarize operations with daily routing functions, which include loading samples, quality control counts, routine sample counts and report verification. Calibrations, analysis phases and editors are not covered.
Concepts are taught using a lecture and extensive hands-on laboratory sessions.
