SU-635-3 Apex Software Operational Training

Prerequisites: The SU-470 Genie 2000 Basic Operations or equivalent, familiarity with Canberra’s Genie 2000 spectroscopy application software.

Purpose: This course is designed to be the basic system setup and operation training for the Apex count room software product.

Description: This course focuses on the Apex “Lab Productivity Suite” software setup, database interaction and automated sample processing operations. The class is intended for count room managers and technicians responsible for setup, processing, reporting and data review of gamma samples.

The training will cover the architecture of the Apex environment, interactions with Genie 2000 utilities and facility database software, installation, operational setups, security, sample counting job streams, reports, QA, data review, and event logging. Discussions will also include the NPP reports option and the supported modifications to the Apex reports.
