Prerequisites:
1. Some familiarity with Windows 95 or Windows NT environment.
2. Familiarity and some experience working on and operating the Genie 2000
Spectroscopy system.
3. An alternative to experience on Genie 2000 would be successful completion
of the
SU-470-4 "Genie 2000 Basic Operations" course.
Purpose: This advanced course is designed as an introductory batch procedure writing course for the Genie 2000 system manager or programmer who desires or will be responsible for writing customized batch procedures for any of the Genie 2000 family of spectroscopy systems, including the InSpector applications.
Description:
This 4-day course provides instruction on the Genie 2000 Graphical and Command mode batch environment
operation. Lessons include reviews of the architecture and interactive use of Genie 2000, CAM File structure,
and an overview of the REXX procedure language provided with the Genie 2000 software. Complete
discussions of Genie 2000 Job Commands and Functions are reinforced by laboratory assignments.
