Genie-PC Waste Assay Software Operations Course

Prerequisites: None.
Purpose: The five day course provides the user, and system manager,
with a complete understanding of the hardware and software operations
needed to operate their Waste Assay System. The three day course provides
the operators with a complete understanding of daily routine functions
such as;
QC counts, Routine Sample analysis, backgrounds and report verification.
Five Day Course Description:
This course is designed as an introductory level course for both the
system manager and operator who will be using the Genie-PC Waste Assay
Software (GWAS).
This course starts with a short review of the operating system platform used and what interactions the Genie-PC packages have with GWAS. It then covers calibrations, data acquisitions and analysis phases performed from within the GWAS menus.
Concepts are taught using a lecture and extensive hands-on laboratory sessions.

Three Day Course Description:
This course is designed to familiarize operators with daily routine
functions such as; QC counts, Routine Sample analysis, backgrounds and
report verification. This course covers the system operation of the
software and hardware for routine operation only. Calibrations, analysis
engines and editors are not covered. It is preferable to hold this type
of course at the customer site, utilizing their instrument.

Three variations of either the five or three day base courses are offered:
Q2 System - This course is designed to integrate the Q2 operation within the Genie-PC Waste Assay course. Labs offer the complete operation of the Q2 system, or a simulation thereof.
IQ3 System _ This course is designed to integrate the IQ3 operation within the Genie-PC Waste Assay course. Hands-on labs, with the IQ3 itself, will depend on the availability of a physical unit. It is preferable to hold this course at the customer site, utilizing the installed system.
SGS System _ This course is designed to integrate the SGS operation within the Genie-PC Waste Assay course. Hands-on labs, with a SGS system, will depend on the availability of a physical unit. It is preferable to hold this course at the customer site, utilizing the installed system.
