The CANBERRA Cryo-Cycle™ II is a unique offering in the field of cryogenically cooled radiation detectors. The Cryo-Cycle II is described as a "hybrid" cryostat because it combines the advantages of electric cooling with the reliability of liquid nitrogen.

Description
CANBERRA manufactures a wide range of Silicon and Germanium Photon Detectors and offers the broadest line of cryostats and accessories in the industry.
We also make an advanced type of Silicon Charged Particle Detector which is known as the PIPS® (Passivated Implanted Planar Silicon) Detector. The PIPS Detector provides much better performance and greater ruggedness and reliability than conventional SSB or Diffused Junction Detectors.
In addition to CANBERRA manufactured detectors, we carry other types to complement our NIM, MCA and System products. CANBERRA provides only detectors which have a good reputation for quality, and we take responsibility for compatibility of these detectors with our instruments and systems.
