Speaker: John P. Stewart Abstract Summary:CDM was originally implemented at Sequoyah NP in late 1988 as an automated laboratory logbook system, replacing an existing paper log book. The intent was to meet INPO Chemistry data trending requirements. This system was used from 1989 through 1996 when Chemistry management at the TVA nuclear plants decided to replace CDM and selected a LIMS from an alternative vendor. The selection decision was entirely driven by non-technical reasons and management personal preferences. However, OpenCDM was implemented at Sequoyah to work through the Y2K boundary and ran from 1999 through 2002. At that time, the alternative LIMS was implemented at TVA. In 2008, Sequoyah and Watts Bar management decided to replace the LIMS with the current (Version 3.2.4) OpenCDM. Current implementation date is late July 2008.
